Reclaiming the Happy Meal

Getting out of the meal concept may take some time. My family's been working on it for over a year now. I noticed when we began this journey, there was still a lot of emotion tied into whether we did or did not eat together. Not eating together was taken as a personal affront. Now, I just focus on making food when I'm hungry and, if others want to partake, making enough for them, too. This has not only freed up my time, but my energy flows better. I have more time to be creative and am less pressured to put on a show at meal time. I also notice when I'm not making a family meal that I am eating less. I need to unpack this one. Lots of interesting insights here....

Note: Capitalized recipes are my own.

  • cup of hot Gingerbread Spice herbal tea
  • cup of hot Blackberry Sage herbal tea with honey

Today's Observations
What wonderfully powerful food! I loved eating today!
Kefir is still giving me gas. Alas...
