Hungry Without Hunger

When I notice that I'm not necessarily hungry, but am wanting comfort food, I make myself a miso soup or a hot tea - depending on whether I'm looking for savory or sweet. This has been a good method for me to move through the emotional craving without packing in something loaded with empty calories or unusable fats.

Note: Capitalized recipes are my own.

Day 35
  • 4 c. of kale salad (kale, tomato, cucumber, avocado, carrots, chia seeds, sunflower seeds, nutritional yeast, garlic, sea salt)
  • 2 c. apple cider
  • 1/2 of this recipe, Superfood IceScream: 1.5 trays of ice, 3/4 c. goji berry juice, 4 T. lucuma, 1/4 c. Brazil nuts, scant 1/4 c. honey, 3 T. carob powder, 3 T. soaked goji berries, 1 tsp. maca powder, 1/4 tsp. sea salt, 1/4 tsp. stevia
  • miso soup (miso, spring water, garlic, ginger, shiitake mushrooms, kelp flakes, Bell's Seasoning)
  • 3 dates stuffed with hazelnuts
  • 2 c. (but one teabag) hot decaf chai with stevia
  • 1 c. warm apple cider
Today's Observations
Third day of all raw! Man, it's soooo much easier than I thought. It's also easier with all 3 of us doing it. Nice!
